All-day life in a world affected by climate change
Almost one year ago we had the idea to do something which will help avoiding the climate change. Soon after we started, we had to realise our lack of understanding of this so called climate change. Even after a half year running research with the goal to find all aspects and background information’s concerning our chosen topic, it was still not easy to get an idea what climate change will bring.
Since then we started to visualize all the abstract, and dry facts you can find in scientific reports. Based on this information’s, we tried to find all coming results and how they affect all-day life when the climate change will continue.
To describe this future we are using our skills as product designer to create believable products which might be a coming reaction to a close future.
By doing this, we hope to fill the gap between the difficult scientific language and the people where the understandings of climate change will help building a motivation to avoid it.
We thought if you see the product and you realise the context where it could be useful in the future, it might help to remember the background information’s and coming results of the climate change.
All climate results we are dealing with here are based on a 'Business As Usual' scenario. So there is still a chance to help avoiding the production of our products.
If you are interested in this project, if you want to get more information’s about the exhibition or the single products - feel free to contact us.
We were surprised how good the products in the exhibition worked to found a base for discussions about climate change. The touching of ‘real artificial snow' seemed to charm everyone to think a step further in this topic without being blocked suddenly by a felling of bad conscience.
